It was converted into a hotel in the early 1970’s and has been completely renovated and updated in 2015, with a conscious decision to maintain the architectural character of the building. It is the perfect mix of urban and traditional. Each room is named after a famous singer from Arabic music's Golden Era. A unique experience awaits you during each stay, as each room draws inspiration from the singer’s characteristics/lives in every detail of its furnishings and design. All rooms feature a seating area and dressing table with mirror. They all come with central heating, air conditioning and satellite TV. All of La Locanda rooms are non-smoking La Locanda is a cultural, entertainment and hospitality landmark in Amman. Ever since we opened our doors on September 2015, La Locanda has come to be known as an energetic hub for live music events as well as dining and hospitality. We’re known for providing one of Amman’s most unique and sought after hotel and culinary experiences. As you can tell, we’re clearly more than a place to eat and sleep: we are a Hotbed for Culture. Lovely, comfortable stay

Pros: Lovely, comfortable stay. We really liked the hotel has a luxury feel. We were very happy with our choice, as it took us a while to find/ make a decision on accommodation. Would recommend :)

Pros: Location was great, very close to Downtown and rainbow street. The overall area had great cafes, small shops and restaurants around. Everything walking distance. Friendly and very kind staff. Great choice for Amman and if you want to avoid the noise of downtown area. Really cute garden for breakfast.

Cons: Nothing special to call out here. Breakfast perhaps could be a bit more organized. On my second day I went to the breakfast area and not much was there in terms of choice (I know there's more cause the day before it was different). But again nothing major.

Highly recommend for local neighbourhood vibes.

Pros: Spacious, modern, clean, well appointed rooms. Excellent bathroom. Having the garden restaurant attached is a bonus. A great vibe in the evenings. Had a delicious cheese and condiments platter. We enjoyed being in a neighbourhood. A wonderful cafe a short walk away and gift store called Al Afghani- Cafe RUMI- has a great buzz and excellent food and coffee.

Excellent boutique hotel in an excellent location

Pros: I visited more than 50 countries and this is honestly one of the best hotels that I ever stayed. It’s a small boutique hotel with and excellent restaurant / cafe / bar. The owner is truly the best and all the employees too.

Cons: I liked everything.

Your kind of cosy hotel you are looking for in Amman

Pros: The hotel is located at the heart of Amman and is walking distance from the city center. The neighborhood itself is very picturesque and there were several restaurants/cafes around. The room was comfortable and clean and the bathroom was spacious. Staff was very welcoming and friendly and gave tips about hidden gems to explore in the city. The hotel is definitely value for money!

Cons: Breakfast was average. You receive basic international food, however, the fact you are surrounded by several restaurants and local food shops wouldn't make you feel that this is an issue. In fact, reception gave fantastic food recommendations for places to explore around :)
