My Grandfathers House Dana Heritage and Eco Lodge

Great homestay, friendly hosts, nice location

Pros: Wonderfully decorated and maintained old house with kind and friendly hosts. We enjoyed the home-made meals, playing with the children, and conversations with Walid and his wife :-).

Cons: The size of the room was a bit small for our luggage, but I guess this is just how it is when you stay in an old house.

Pros: We loved our 2 days in Dana. Walid and his family were extremely kind and welcoming. Amazing views down into the valley, delicious food and a lovely cozy room.

Pros: We stayed one night beginning of December 2025. We wanted to go hiking but unfortunately the weather was really bad. Nevertheless, Walid and his team did everything to make us feel at home and took us on a walk around the surrounding of the village of Dana the next morning. Calm place, good food and very welcoming team. Would come again!

Pros: It’s very different from the usual hotel/ hostels .. The owners had made all the building by himself, which is amazing . You will be staying in his grandfather’s house but we all the amenities that will make your stay confortable. Walid and his son are very kind and helpful . The food was homemade The location is also great , you will be staying in the ancient village of dana with amazing view , especially the sunset 😍

Great Mountain Stay!

Pros: Walid is truly the best host. He took great care of us during our stay, fed us amazing food, and even showed us to a beautiful trail to hike from his place, following the ridge around the canyon. We loved meeting his sons and wife, and Shadi and Ahmed had us laughing all evening. So nice to have an at-home stay coming from the large unfamiliar hotels in Petra! And truly one of the best dinner and breakfasts we’ve had during our stay in Jordan. I included a picture of the sunset from the house and from the gorgeous trail Walid showed us.

Pros: We had a lovely stay with a lovely host family . The whole family is so welcoming and caring . Walid organized a perfect hike ( Wadi Ghweir ) for us and after that we could relax in his beautiful garden . We booked breakfast and dinner , everything was fresh prepaired and tasty . We had a great time in an amazing nature . Would like to come back another time .

Pros: we want to thank you for the beautiful experience you offered us. we are very simple people, looking for authentic places, and staying at your house was our most authentic experience. we wish you good health and strength to continue the traditions of your places and good health to your children. the experience with you was the most beautiful chapter of our story in Jordan. the feeling I had when I left the room in the morning and saw the landscape that surrounded us took my breath away to the fullest. we also want to tell you that you offered us the best breakfast I ate in Jordan, authentically traditional but also beautifully arranged on plates. we are only sorry for the short time we had for this experience, but you are first on the list when we return. thank you very much and for all
