Wadi Rum Cave Camping

An incredible experience in the desert, through the stars and the bedouins.

Pros: We had a wonderful stay at Mohammad’s place. He welcomed us very warmly, along with his brothers and cousins. Everyone was incredibly kind. The food was delicious, the fire was beautiful, the night walk was very special, and the sleeping place was gorgeous! We had an amazing time with my fiancé and my parents. I will definitely come back when I return to the desert. Thank you so much for your kindness, Mohammad and Sabat!

Cons: Nothing!

Pros: Highly recommend! This becomes the best part of my Jordan trip. We experienced the basic life of Bedouin. The host treated us like friends not just customers, everything here is amazing.

Perfect - a must do in wadi rum!

Pros: Such an amazing place, everything was perfect from the freshly prepared tasty dinner and breakfast to the stunning views from the bed under the stars (which was also super comfy) and massive shout out to Zaid our tour guide who was so friendly and funny and knowledgable! And to Mohammed who heads up the whole thing and couldn’t have been more welcoming! We can’t recommend this place enough!

Once in a lifetime

Pros: Amazing location and hospitality. A once in a lifetime experience for us. Mohammed and his family made us feel very welcome and taught us a lot about their culture and the area. Yusef cooked the best food we had in our whole time in Jordan and special shout out to Tariq for hosting, driving and making bread for us.

Cons: Nothing.

Pros: Sleeping under the stars is a unique experience, having breakfast and dinner next to the campfire in a desert with good host makes the experience special.

Cons: I fully understand the concept of this place, you can try the life of a Bedouin, but I think a light in the bathroom would be necessary and also a sink, not just a shower, I think it's a minimum to be able to clean yourself after a day in the desert. Another thing, which didn't bothered me too much, but I think it might others and I think it's unfair is the fact that I booked for 36 JOD for 2 person, but a couple of days before my arrival I've got a message on WhatsApp from the host that it will cost 55 JOD/person including the breakfast and dinner. This means that I payed 110 JOD for 1 night for 2 person, -36 JOD the booking itself this means one breakfast and one dinner costed 76 JOD for 2 people, or in other words 18.5 JOD/meal. For this amount of money you can eat in a fancy restaurant in Amman.

Pros: Very nice people that help you with anything you need, they show you the bedouin traditions! Super nice sleepybags and comfy. Very recommended.

Pros: Khaled and Mohammed along with their family and friends were incredible hosts. If anyone is looking for an authentic Bedouin experience out in the desert, look no further. Wadi Rum Cave Camping is the answer. We were initially overwhelmed with all the possible accommodations out in Wadi Rum, but we are super thrilled that we decided on this camp. From food to storytelling by the campfire at night, the entire experience exceeded our expectations. We are highly recommending this place to all of our friends and family.

Cons: The communal bathroom was a little bit far from our sleeping space. They were in midst of installing a bathroom in the same space as our accommodation, but unfortunately, it wasn't ready at the time of our visit.

An amazing stay under the stars - a different experience from all the “bubble” tents.

Pros: Clean facilities, as well as new beds and blankets. The hosts were so kind and fun! The experience was phenomenal - from the jeep tour to the Bedouin dinner and coffee. Watching the stars at night was beautiful, and even in February it was warm. Would love to stay again.
