Grandpa House

Pros: The accommodation is quite basic but clean and suffices all your needs. We had a very big room with 3 beds and a shared bathroom which was quite small. We were given prepackaged breakfast bags since we left very early in the morning. We also negotiated a price for dinner, which was excellent. There was ample space to park.

Cons: As mentioned, the bathroom was quite small, and the whole place was kind of cold (it was, however, February). The place was strictly functional, not necessarily beautiful. We had a bit of a hard time getting hold of the owner when we arrived.

Pros: The hosts were very kind and helpful, they helped us with transfer to Petra and back for a fair price. We had the family dinner and it was very delicious and big portion!

Pros: Phenomenal host., looked out for me and after me my entire stay in Petra..

Cons: Is best for people with a car.

Great stay at Grandpa's house

Pros: Grandpa was very friendly and made us feel welcome. They offered us a huge traditional dinner which was delicious. Great views from the house. Everything was very clean and onsite parking available.

Cons: Wasn't a problem for us but only 1 shared bathroom between 4 rooms could cause delays. Shower pressure is a bit weak...but the rest was all fantastic

Stunning view for the sunset

Pros: Everything was perfect, the location with stunning view to the valley for the sunset, a bit far from the chaos of the downtown, the staff very attentive and the accommodation itself with all comfort for a stay to visit Petra.

Cons: Nothing to report

Pros: I stayed for two nights and really enjoyed it. The place is cozy and feels like home. The host is very kind, helpful, and caring. The beds and pillows are very comfortable. My room had a beautiful view of the city — the sunrise and sunset were amazing. The location is great, just about a 6-minute drive to the Petra entrance. It’s also nice that there is parking available.

Pros: Our stay at this guesthouse was truly wonderful. It has the best view of the city, absolutely breathtaking. The dinner prepared by the host was delicious — the portions were very generous. After dinner, we enjoyed some shisha, which was relaxing and the perfect way to end the evening. Highly recommended!

Yes , close to center where you can park your car , and walk to Petra entrance

Pros: The property is on the hill with a panoramic view of the city , the host Navaf is an incredible man, he came and showed us the way when we couldn’t not find it , he invited us with tea and a pleasant conversation, guided us with all we needed , breakfast were great, the best home baked bread with Arabic dishes of everything, he even took us to the Moses spring which no one knows about it , he send us a message after checkout to make sure everything is ok and we hade good time in Jordan ! I will absolutely will be back and stay more days there !

Pros: The food was very good, if you are looking for something traditional, then the family dinner is definitely recommended.

Pros: Great value for money with an amazing view from under the olive tree in the back yard, and a lovely maqluba meal that guys offered to cook for us in the evening - thank you so much!
