Petra Main Gate

Pros: Awesome location, just a few mins walk to Petra visitor centre. Don't need to take a cab for your luggage btw. Walking distance to many restaurants and convenience stores. They have a restaurant too, food is nice. The managers are really nice and friendly

Cons: The hot water in shower is hard to get right..but still manageable

Pros: Great location, 2 min walk from the visitor centre to Petra. The owner could not be more helpful to us and we even got a late checkout which was great as we spent a lot of time in Petra. Close to restaurants and shops which is handy.

Great time - true example of amazing Jordanian hospitality and friendliness!

Pros: We were met with big smiles and tea and immediately received advice on how best to tackle our hike through Petra. They helped us organise ourselves and we had an amazing afternoon! I would certainly recommend. We had dinner in the restaurant which was delicious also :) Additionally this is probably the best location with regards to proximity to the visitors centre - ideal!

Pros: Very near to Petra’s entrance and the staff was very friendly

Pros: Great reception by the host, he really took his time to welcome us, explain us the best way to explore Petra, and giving us (very useful!) tips on what to see and what not. Very friendly staff, and perfect location for visiting Petra, it's a 2 minute walk from the visitor center.

Perfect location

Pros: Just perfect location, really by the entrance to Petra/ Petra Museum. No problem with parking/ we parked our car just by the street, but were offered private parking as well. Easy communication via what's up. Do really recommend for exploring Petra.

Petra Main Gatep

Pros: 1. Best location hands down. Close to Petra main entrance and eateries and supermarkets are nearby. But do walk further up to find cheaper restaurants and supermarkets. 2. Nice friendly and helpful host. Ready to answer ur queries and help out 3. Well equip kitchen and clean and tidy homestay.

Cons: 1. Door may need some oiling as it is loud and noisy when closing and opening 2. Hot water can be inconsistent at times.

Pros: We picked the location as it is located 4 minutes from the gate to Petra main gate. We were planning to visit Petra 3 times from early morning and evening hours.

Pros: The location is awesome to visit Petra. There is a washing machine you could use for 3 JOD, as well as a shared kitchen for a light cooking. I ended up having the bathroom to my myself, although outside my bedroom which was great. There are 2 full bathrooms with shower and toilet, and an additional toilet for 3 or 4 bedrooms so that’s great. I also like the décoré in the common room. The bed was really comfortable, although very short (but wide).

Cons: I arrived to the place and the door was locked, even though I had indicated when I was arriving. I had to message the owner. They place also needs a bit of TLC. The shower head in the bathroom I was using is in dire needs of replacement and the water seems to accumulate at the bottom of the shower. At least, a squeegee is provided. An additional small towel/floor mat to put outside the shower would be great. The screen/net in the small window in my room was broken so I could not really leave the window open for ventilation, as flies were coming in. So I had to put the AC on (which is probably expensive). The bedroom was really clean, but I think additional attention needs to be put in the kitchen. Towels were left in the washing machine overnight, same with glass in the sink and other dishes in the drying rack. There was also old fruits in the fridge. Also there is only one small fridge, which was ok with only 1 or 2 room booked, but could get full easily if the place was fully booked. The pictures showed 2 small fridges, not one. Pictures also shows a rooftop terrace, and a water cooler in the kitchen to refill your bottles. Neither were available.
