Great location, view and room. Friendly staff. Highly recommended.

Pros: Friendly staff, great communication, fab location with amazing view (just below citadel, looking down onto the roman theatre), large clean room and en-suite, comfortable beds.

Cons: Possible improvements: - Fridge (we would have liked). - TV (not needed by us).

Great experience and wonderful people

Pros: We had a very pleasant stay at this hostel with a very nice host and staff. Everything was just wonderful and I highly recommend it to everyone who visit Amman.

Pros: We were visiting in December. We had an incredible view from the window, just for the Roman Theatre. Everything was very close. We could park the car in front of the property. Staff was very friendly and helpful. We didn’t use the kitchen, so it’s difficult to say anything about the facilities there. We slept well thanks to the curtains. Room had a teas, coffee, bottled water, sugar and kettle, which we enjoyed very much.

Cons: The only thing was really cold bathroom. Because December was quite cold weather itself, it would be great to have some little fan just for the bathroom. I was freezing going out from the shower.

Pros: Very good stay at Castle Star Hostel. It is located just opposite the Citadel, so the location is excellent. The hostel has a nice kitchen where you can easily make coffee and breakfast. The staff were very helpful and gave good travel advice, and they also arranged my airport taxi at a much cheaper price. It’s close to downtown Amman, which feels more local and authentic. Food around the area is very good and affordable, unlike Rainbow Street which is crowded with tourists and much more expensive. Overall, a comfortable, well-located hostel with great value for money.

Felt like Home

Pros: Best hostel I’ve stayed at. The staff truly made it feel like home. I’d like to share a small incident that really touched me—after returning from a long trip, I came back to rebook my stay. As soon as the staff member saw me, instead of talking about booking, he first invited me to eat and said he had cooked butter chicken. This kind of genuine care is very rare and meant a lot to me. I would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Amman—please stay here if you get the chance. Just one small suggestion: the kitchen could be kept a bit cleaner. Overall, a wonderful experience.

Would recommend

Pros: Not much to complain about the hostel, the stay was great overall.

Cons: The one downside was the shower, the water was cold and the pressure wasn't the best.

Staff were great, rooms were decent.

Pros: The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was as expected, was not much to complain about. Additionally, the balcony/common area outside was great, alongside the location.

Cons: The pictures for the double room on booking.com showed a television, but upon arrival, there wasn't one to be found. Also, the mattress was a little hard for my likings.

Pros: Great, convenient location, incredible rooftop view. Comfortable overall & very polite and helpful staff.

Pros: You can have a view on all of amman just from the terrace , the manager Ahmed and his cute son nawfal are kind people The rooms are so cosy, with the glass windows and the heater , the bathrooms are clean

Cons: The showers were not working so well ( hot water )
