Warm Hospitality Near Petra

Pros: We stayed at Jordan Guest House for two nights with my family during our visit to Petra. The cleanliness of the property and the view were absolutely wonderful, and the breakfast was excellent. What truly made this stay special, however, was the host, Shadi, a genuine Bedouin, and his amazing family. They welcomed us into their home and gave us an unforgettable cultural experience. Sitting together, chatting, and seeing the daily life of their children was incredibly valuable, especially for our own kids. I can wholeheartedly recommend this place, and I would love to stay here again.

Home away from home

Pros: Amazing hospitality, Shadi and his family were so inviting. When we arrived, mint tea was offered around a fire, and we chatted as if we were at home. He guided us with the evening activity of visiting Little.Petra and recommendations of places to eat in the city. When we returned, he again provided mint tea around the fire and then provided us with tips of do's and do notes when we visited Petra. This was invaluable inside knowledge and made the experience worthwhile and away from the normal tourist track. He was constantly on WhatsApp, sending us links to locations to ensure we dis not get lost. He offered us food and breakfast, but we chose not to take as our children are very fussy eaters. Rooms were spacious, and for a large family, he offered us 2 rooms. They were warm and cosy. I would highly recommend staying here as long as you have your own car as Petra is mountainous.

Homely, family run guest house.

Pros: It felt like staying at a friend’s house rather than a guest house. Shadi and his family were a pleasure to stay with.

Great affordable accomodation with kind host on excellent locatuon looking over Wadi Musa

Pros: Everything. Shadi is a great host and very knowledgeable of Petra. Without his advice we would miss some great views in Petra. Food is great, well prepared and we even took an ATV to watch the sunset.

Pros: My stay here was excellent. Shadi the owner and a host was very helpful with everything. I strongly recommend this place to stay in Wadi Musa.

Pros: The host introduced us all the go-to spots in Petra. He knows so much about the place! You can meet very sweet family 🙂 food is nice room is clean. Also at night the room wasn't chilly. Totally recommend this place

Cons: Get there before dark

Pros: Shadi was really invested to make it as nice and easy as possible for us! We liked the Petra-briefing as well as the giveaways for our further trip

Amazing experience

Pros: I loved everything. The room was amazing with a view on the mountain and our host was so welcoming, and chilling with his family also was so good. He gave us so many advices about Petra and drove us to The sunset with the buggy. The food was delicious ! Thank you for everyting

Cons: Nothing everything was perfect

Magically welcoming stay with a lovely Jordanian family.

Pros: Beautiful location overlooking new Petra, comfortable rooms and an authentic homely atmosphere - Shadi and his lovely family really make this place a magical experience. The kids are all a delight - incredibly welcoming, friendly and work hard to ensure the guests have everything they need. They were especially great with our tweens - immediately encouraging them to make themselves at home, playing games, and even taking them on a little ATV ride (the sunset tour is not to be missed!). Shadi was an excellent host - great fun and attentive, easy going, no nonsense, as well as being very informative and helpful in planning the tours around old Petra, highlighting the tourist traps as well as the lesser-known highlights. He and his family also made my wife’s birthday very memorable with a wonderful mini party together with the other guests. Overall a brilliant experience we will remember for a long time.

Cons: Nothing - it was one of the highlights of our trip to Jordan.

Very pleasant stay in Petra

Pros: Very friendly and comfortable stay, very well decorated and excellent atmosphere, very friendly and welcoming. We got very good tips to get the best out of our trip.
