Khaled's Camp - Wadi Rum

This place stole my heart ☺️

Pros: I have unforgettable memories about this place 😊 The desert, the views, night starry sky are lovely and look like another planet and I couldn't believe I really saw it with my own eyes. But what is more important - people who are are meeting there, Khaled and his family-team are superkind, friendly, funny and open-minded people who make you fell home. I was solo traveling girl and this is the place where I felt the most safe in Jordan and felt peaceful. We had a great jeep tour, hiking tour, enjoyed delucious local food altogether with other guests. You can walk around the camp, enjoy the views and silence of desert. I dream about coming back and will. Thank you so much for home and emotions I felt there☺️

Pros: I like Khalid's approach. He welcomes all kind of tourists, even backpackers, without forcing them to buy the tour and stuff.

Pros: The cabin has a firm bed (which we like) and an en-suite bathroom. An amazing view from our bed!

Cons: The water didn’t run down the drain properly and no fan

Pros: So many options for Wadi Rum but we wanted to stay in something reasonably authentic, with a good view of the desert and preferably with a family from the region. We went through all the reviews and photos of available camps and selected Khaled's camp as it ticked all these boxes. Khaled is a fun guy and runs a nice camp. The tours we booked through him were superb. The full day jeep tour is recommended as it's such an amazing day in the desert with lunch cooked by our guide Rashid, hikes, bouldering and sand boarding. Sunset views from the camp are amazing and the food is good and plentiful. The accommodation is basic but comfy and warm with superb views out over the desert.

Cons: Nothing - it was ace.

Pros: I can highly recommend Khaled Camp – everything was just as we agreed. Khaled is a great and kind host, and so are his people. The camp is in a beautiful location and I was very well taken care of. And even though it’s not mentioned yet, there is working Wi-Fi in the common room. I’d be happy to return someday.

Cons: I would have appreciated a better view from my tent – after all, looking straight into a sand dune from a beautiful large window isn’t ideal. But it wasn’t anything that spoiled my stay, especially since I was outside most of the time anyway. Everything else was top-notch.

Unforgetable stay in Khaleds Camp!

Pros: My stay in Khaleds Camp (which is inside the Protected Area of Wadi Rum) was an unique and amazing experience! The food was delicious, the tent clean and comfortable and the stuff always friendly. I also went on a Jeep Tour and a Hike Tour which was both an unforgetable experience! Last but not least to mention the stunning night sky after an beautiful sunset and a traditional tasty cup of tea. I will never forget my stay in Wadi Rum.

Pros: The location is perfect, right under the rock, where you can climb and have the view around everywhere, with cosy seating overlooking the camp. Common tent is cosy with a fireplace great for spending evenings. Amazing cleanliness in the tents given the desert conditions, we even had our own toilet and shower there. I recommend deluxe tent, sleeping and waking up with one wall completely made of glass was proper glamping experience and something we will remember for a long time. No worries about cold temperatures as blankets are really thick and there is even gas heater inside. Crew was really sweet, half day jeep tour was great way to see the desert. I can imagine spending more days in this special place.

Pros: We really loved all the people working there! We also made an awesome jeeptour with rasheed that we enjoyed a lot. In generell the camp was super cozy and welcoming and we would love to visit again.
