Beautiful location, comfortable room and superb host
Pros: I was solo hiking for 5 days and stayed at four different camps during the time - I was very happy with all of them. Joy of Life Camp I remember especially because of the host Eid, who was great to chat with and made sure I had everything I needed to enjoy the stay. I could go back again any day! He also arranged me a Jeep-ride to the southern edge of the desert based on my hiking needs. The view from the camp was superb opening up to many directions with both Wadi Rum cliffs and desert horizon to the south. Warm shower was available as was hearty and tasty dinner and breakfast. The value for money is unbeatable, just remember it is a desert so don't expect the exact same level of luxury and functionality as in cities. Nights are cold so be dressed up accordingly and take the stay as a bit of an adventure.

Pros: The staff and owner (Eid and his family) were exceptionally friendly and created a great experience for us. Rooms are very clean and comfortable. Highly recommended is sleeping under the stars like the bedouins! The jeep tour is a must to take in the stunning landscape. In the camp, the main dish is cooked bedouin-style in the sand. Wadi rum is just a beautiful experience, and the joy of life camp the perfect place to be there.

Pros: The stay was excellent. Great lunch and dinner. Staff was very helpful and nice to us. We booked the 4-hour jeep tour and it was cleverly divided as we travelled with two kids. One night stopover in the wadi rum desert is just enough if you want to enjoy the day tour, sunset and sunrise, too. Highly recommend.

Joy of Life camp provides an authentic, enriching guest experience in Wadi Rum
Pros: Every part of the experience at Joy of Life camp is wonderful. Eid and the rest of the camp staff are welcoming, knowledgeable, and accommodating to guests as a baseline. I would recommend this camp to anyone.
Cons: Be sure to have cash on hand to pay for your booking, as that the ATM in the visitors center is unreliable as a source of money. However, this is not due to any fault of the camp or its stewards.

Exceptional stay in Wadi Rum
Pros: The luxury tent (cabin) with private bathroom was very comfortable, and had an exceptional view to the mountains. the dinner and breakfast were both really good.
Cons: I felt a bit rushed in the morning as we had to vacate the tent at 9 o'clock - directly after breakfast. I didn't have enough time to get ready.

Perfect
Pros: We stayed in a tent with a private bathroom, my expectation was not high because it is a remote place in desert, however, the tent was very comfortable and almost like a normal hotel room (hard walls, tiled floor, normal bathroom, electricity). Sand and dust from the desert, which normally gets everywhere, was not in the room.
Cons: This was not a problem for this place but for the whole area - in the night there is noise from airplanes overhead, apparently there is a flight corridor for the AMM airport. The tents have soft roof and the airplanes noise woke us up several times.
