A wonderful beduin experience
Pros: This staying was the best out of all we stayed during our Jordan trip. We highly recommend to book it. The room and other house spaces where clean. The place was warm even there is no heating. Plugs need an adapter if you coming from Europe. The view from terrace is perfect: desert everywhere even you are not directly inside it you feel like you are there. Dinner and breakfast consist of authentic traditional food. It was so delicious. The communication with Ali (WhatsApp) upon arrival was amazing, we negotiate everything in advance: tour through Wadi Rum, food ect. Ali gave us also tips when we were planning our Jordan trip. We would like to thank Ali and his family once again for giving us an unforgettable beduin experience. We greatly appreciated his hospitality. Having tea, listening to traditional music, and talking over dinner was amazing. Our thanks goes to his brother for desert tour. Moreover, our thanks goes to his other brother for showing us their animals.

This was the best place we visited in Jordan! Friendly people, real bedouin experience!
Pros: We had REAL bedouin experiences! The host Ali brought us to the desert on his jeep, also gave us a great dinner for a very good price, and spent with us a lot of time. He was so friendly, cheering and entertaining us! We loved him and also his friendly family. The breakfast was also very good, included in the price. And the camel ride was so good, not expensive.

Pros: Ali is a great host! We stayed at the house that was more than enough for the 2 of us. But we spent most of the time in Ali's tent, where we also had the meals. Ali's mum is a great cook and we loved the food. Ali offers all kind of tours (jeep, camel, etc) and he doesn't force you to take any. I really recommend doing one because price is more affordable that the one group tours and you basically go on a private tour. You can also room around the property, feed the camels and help in other chores. Ali has a good heart and also hosts people through couch surfing. We really enjoyed this peaceful and authentic experience.
Cons: There was a couchsurfer staying there at the same time and asked Ali if he could join our jeep tour and Ali said he would have to ask us. We said yes he could join but it would have been nice if he would have offered to contribute a bit. Ali was very very considerate, he was all the time trying to move away the couchsurfer from the jeep open part where we were, to the co-pilot spot. We could see Ali was trying to make the presence of the couchsurfer smoother and we had the feeling that Ali was more stressed about the presence of the couchsurfer than we were. So one note to others travelers (not to Ali at all!): if you are a couchsurfer I understand you may be on a budget (we also couchsurf sometimes) but if you join somebody's tour that they are paying for and you are not maybe offer to contribute a bit and also think about your host, you should not put them in a hard position.

Nice stay at the Wadi Rum desert with a genuine Bedouin
Pros: To clarify: I am rating here the stay at the desert in a tent with my host, Ali. The story: upon arriving at my accommodation in Wadi Rum, I asked my host if he knew about tours to the desert, camel ride, etc. And (of course), he happened to offer all of these. So, I bought the pack of camel ride, jeep tour through the Wadi Rum desert and a night in the desert, bedouin dinner and breakfast included. It was a very nice experience. Ali is a good host and cook, and, as a real Bedouin, he can tell you all about the desert, while showing you bedouin games and taking care of the fire. A very enjoyable and recommendable experience.
Cons: This is a heads-up for the future clients of Ali, rather than things that I did not like: Do not expect an hotel style comfort. You will be spending the night in a tent on the dessert sand, besides a rock hill. The setup is very simple, but works OK (just a bit hard). If you have concerns about food cooked on the spot (cleanliness or others), then talk to Ali before starting the adventure and ask him to explain all in detail. For me all was very enjoyable. Just one minor, easy to fix, thing to recommend to Ali: don't let your alarm run unattended for one hour at 5:00 AM

Ali is an exceptional host. We enjoyed wonderful Bedouin hospitality and experience. We had a fantastic overnight desert
Pros: It was very authentic staying in the compound with the Bedouin family and being entertained by them. The host was the best host we have ever had. He went beyond our expectations at every turn. We were expecting breakfast but he provided us with other meals as well. He included us in the nightly feeding of the animals, offered an exceptional desert experience which was great value. He also helped us with transportation to his home by booking a taxi and booking our bus to our next destination
Cons: Can’t think of anything

A rememberable and simple stay that made us experience a new culture
Pros: We were warmly welcomed by Ali‘s family, ate very delicious dinner as well as tasty breakfast from Ali’s mother in their Bedouin tent. The Bedouin culture is special and you can prepare for it. We slept in a separate house but it is not like a hotel. Ali gave us several tips where to hike and cycle in Wadi Rum close to his home. We were quite alone in the desert with amazing views. We are thankful for this kind of experience we made and for the new things we learned.
Cons: As you explore a traditional Beduine life you sleep on thin mattresses with blankets. There were no sheets, clean towels or toilet paper. Maybe consider to bring some things of your own if you don’t want to miss anything.
